With nearly 20 years of editing and writing experience working in television, magazines, book publishing, and online media, I offer a broad set of services for writers of all backgrounds. Newsletter Development

Are you thinking about launching a newsletter and want to know where to start, from picking the right platform, to audience development, to getting the thing out each and every week (or more)? I have successfully launched and developed newsletter programs for both editorial outlets and brands, and I can share best practices in honing a voice as well as growing an audience. I can also build a program from the ground up, help focus the tone, and answer the question, “What can we send our readers/customers that they don’t already have slamming their inbox?”

Media Training

As both a seasoned interviewer (and podcast host) and a longtime interview subject, I’ve sat on both sides of the press table, and I have a deep understanding of what makes a journalist excited and helps them write the story you are sharing. Over the years, I have worked with authors, chefs, journalists, musicians, and public figures in helping prepare them for press opportunities. From honing a mission statement and talking points, to crafting stump speeches, to role-playing podcasts or print interviews, I will dig into your project and help prepare you for any media opportunity that comes your way. I can also help you craft an engaging pitch letter for editors and producers, as well as strategize a follow-up.

My nearly two decades working in media have given me some strong opinions about what works, and what doesn’t, when it comes to telling stories online. Whether it’s managing copywriting or a website launch, I’ve worked with both brands and media companies to create a focused and relevant strategy that is executed on time and on budget. I can tap into a network of hundreds of writers, photographers, illustrators, and social strategists to help deliver your message in a thoughtful and creative way.
